The background could be the Broken Forest since it mentions to look bright red under the sunlight plus it would explain the displaced pangolins
This may be the first Erin Hunter book to have a solar eclipse since Eclipse from Warriors lol
The cover looks gorgeous :D I wonder who is on the cover, and pangolins? Perhaps this is a new character tied to the Broken Forest, hence the pangolins. Or it could be Rain, one of the dragon speakers helping the pangolins.
You guessed it lol XD
Nope. Hint: shes more of a background character.
Nope

Is just me that thought that Ginseng was a female for the first two books? Also does Shiver have asthma?
Front left grip pad
Pridelands?
Sure! I think a discord would make it easier!
I feel like this page is unnecessary as it shows little information on the topic and the information posted on Northern Forest and Broken Forest Troop is enough to suffice. So can we remove it?
I would gladly be a co-admin with Raggedclaw if possible. It would be easier for both of us :)
2nd out of 14, 1 copy in use
I do wonder if pandas have an afterlife. My personal head cannon is that the great dragon is a three headed dragon. Each head corresponds to a seperate element, forest, river, and sky. Likewise each triplet connects with each elements, Leaf with the forest, Rain with the river, and Ghost with the sky. And all creatures who die in the forest, river, or whether related accidents look become a dragonified spirit.
I preordered an online copy so will probably get it when its released on the 7th.
My theory is that Pepper was either raised or visited the tiger sanctuary that told him about the prophecy and white grip pads (since Shadowhunter knew about the grip pads). However it seems in the chapter that Pepper is coming up with directions on the top of his head. I also believe that the shadows in the forest are tigers since the description is very similar to the description of Shadowhunter prowling the Slenderwoods in "Creatures of the Flood".
Since most websites have a preview of the "Journey to the Dragon Mountain" prologue and Chapter 1, whereas my private e-library has an extended version that shows half of chapter 2. Below I posted screenshots of the extended preview. Enjoy!
Most likely as you predict the covers have misinterpreted the eye color. I don't recall the books ever canonically verifying the eye color of any of the leopards Born of Winter.
