The Bamboo Kingdom is where the series takes place. The river separates the Northern Forest and Southern Forest. The only known creature to cross the river after the flood was Rain, guided by the Great Dragon.[1]

Northern Forest[]
- The Northern Forest is located north of the river. The Slenderwoods and Grandfather Gingko are located here, and the Slenderwood pandas, red pandas, and flying squirrels live here.
Southern Forest[]
- The Southern Forest is located south of the river. The Feast Clearing is located here, and the Prosperhill pandas, monkeys, and carp live here.
The White Spine Mountains[]
- The White Spine Mountains are located north of the river and the Northern Forest. The Dragon Mountain, the Great Dragon's cave, and the Endless Maw (which the snow leopards attempt to leap across as a rite of passage) are located here. Snow leopards, tigers, and sun bears live here.
