Grass, or Grass Hollowtree, is a female panda.

Creatures of the Flood[]
- During the Feast of Gray Light, after Juniper mutters that he is Juniper Shallowpool, Grass retorts that if he isn’t a Slenderwood, he ought to be called “Deepriver” or “Floodwater”. She says all of the other pandas are stuck in the past and criticizes the Great Dragon, saying it has abandoned them. Plum admonishes her, and says as long as there are pandas and bamboo, the Dragon is watching over them.
- Hyacinth shares a story about Oak Cragsight delivering a message about an avalanche. Grass says she thought the message was about a blizzard, but Vinca confirms it was about an avalanche.
- After Vinca shares his belief that Sunset died in the flood, Grass asks why a new Speaker hasn’t been chosen.
