Hyacinth, or Hyacinth Hollowtree, is a female panda, the mother of Cane, and a member of the Hollowtree pandas. She and the other Slenderwood pandas (minus Leaf) had mysteriously vanished following an earthquake. She and the others, now dubbed the Clearpools, were later found alive by Leaf and Dasher. However the pair found everyone including Hyacinth to be ill. Leaf discovered that the Clearpool was the source of the illness and demanded everyone to stop drinking from it.

Pre-Series[]
- Once, when she was a cub, Hyacinth was able to meet Sunset Deepwood. He told her that one day she would see the signs, and stop an illness from spreading or save a nest.
Creatures of the Flood[]
- Cane wriggles towards a pile of bamboo shoots, but Hyacinth stops him from eating them before the blessing. After Plum says her blessing, Hyacinth bows with the other pandas. At the Feast of Grey Light, Hyacinth strips the outside bark off of her bamboo and gives the softer insides to Cane. When Juniper says his name is Juniper Shallowpool, Hyacinth reminds him that the pandas are all Slenderwoods now. After Crabapple shares his story, Hyacinth recalls a time where Oak Cragsight had to walk the White Spine mountains by foot to warn the sand foxes of an avalanche.
