Sleet, also known as Sleet Born of Icebound, is a male snow leopard, and the brother of Brisk, as well as the son of Icebound.
Appearance[]
- Sleet has the same appearance as other snow leopards, with a white, spotted pelt, and a thick tail. Sleet and Brisk are slightly younger than Winter's cubs, which means that the cubs Born of Icebound are likely slightly smaller than the cubs Born of Winter.
Personality[]
- Sleet is mean, bullying Ghost and the latter's adoptive siblings alongside his sister, Brisk. Like his sister, Sleet acts egotistic and mean, though, despite this, he does not seem to believe that he could survive without his mother. In The Dark Sun, Sleet and his sister join forces with the Broken Forest Troop, becoming a formidable threat.
History[]
Creatures of the Flood[]
- Sleet and his sister, Brisk, bully Ghost and his adoptive family, calling Ghost a "freak" and claiming that Shiver is weak. This angers Ghost and the cubs Born of Winter, and Snowstorm threatens the cubs Born of Icebound. Ghost and Frost back her up, and Ghost roars, Frost and Snowstorm joining in. They chase off Sleet and Brisk, calling them cowards.
Journey to the Dragon Mountain[]
- Sleet and his sister get into another fight with Frost and Snowstorm. The cubs of Icebound poke fun at Winter’s death, much to the chagrin of Snowstorm and Frost. In response, the cubs of Winter respond that even though their own mother is dead, they’ve become independent while Sleet and Brisk are still dependent on their mother. Realizing that they’re not match for Winter’s cubs, Sleet and Brisk forfeit and flee.
- Later, Sleet aids his sister and mother in extorting Snowstorm and Frost for food, however Ghost aids his adopted siblings in driving Icebound's leap away.
The Dark Sun[]
- Sleet and Brisk arrive at Ghost's session and frighten the other animals by claiming he might eat them. Later, they are overheard plotting to hunt the pandas in the Bamboo Kingdom. Ghost and Shiver track and fight them in the forest, but they retreat quickly.
- Sleet and Brisk are suspected of having murdered Pebble. They try to attack the red pandas, but are chased away by Ghost and Leaf. They later try to kill Ghost on the mountainside, but are stopped by Nightwalker, who takes Ghost to safety.
- Crookedclaw later implies that Sleet and Brisk are working for her and have supposedly killed Ghost.
The Lightning Path[]
- Sleet and Brisk find Shiver in the colorful cave and try to take Ghost's stone, unaware that she hid it. Ghost and his other siblings arrive and all of them fight. Sleet and Brisk manage to lure Ghost into a cavern and trap him. The ceiling begins to cave in, and Sleet and Brisk try to bury Ghost underneath, but he escapes and both leopards are crushed in the collapse.
